The shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar was built in and decorated with Sindhi 'kashi-tiles', mirror-work and a gold-plated door donated by the Shah of Iran, Reza Shah Pahlavi and installed by the late Prime Minister of Pakistan, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. The inner sanctum is about square yards with a silver-canopied grave in the middle.

Lal Shahbaz Qalandar and Pakistan's pluralistic history. This is an attack on a Pakistan, where the diversity of its citizens is the fabric of the society and history.

Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, the Sufi saint who isn’t just a part of our religious history, but also an essential part of the culture and heritage of Sindh and Pakistan, holds immense importance to many. I am a Sunni, born and raised, and every single time I visited Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s Shrine in Sehwan Sharif, I felt a spiritual and divine.
